Meet the Doctors

Dr. Lorraine Jones

Dr Jones graduated from Manchester University, UK and is a fellow of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Lorraine’s interests include women’s health, family planning, and reproductive health care.  Lorraine is available for appointments 4 days per week.

Dr. Graham Welch

Dr Graham Welch (M.B.B.S (Adel) is a graduate of The University of Adelaide and is a member of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Graham’s special interest is skin cancer management and chronic disease management . 

Dr. Darryl D'Souza

Dr Darryl is a Specialist General Practitioner and Fellow with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Darryl trained in Queensland and is a graduate of the University of Queensland Medical School. Darryl has further qualification with a Master of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.

Dr. Nichola Reich

 

Nichola studied Medicine at The University of Newcastle, spending her clinical years at Tamworth Hospital, and having graduated in 2011 enjoying regional practice so much, decided to undertake her hospital years at Tweed Hospital, close to the coastal lifestyle that she loves. Nichola completed her General Practice training with North Coast GP Training at practices on the Northern Rivers, as well as additional Emergency training at Tweed Hospital, attaining Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of GPs in early 2016 and has been working in Murwillumbah for the past 10 years. Nichola has also completed extra paediatric training through the Diploma of Child Health (DCH) in 2015.

 

Nichola loves the variety that general practice gives, the ability to make an impact with preventative care and empowering and educating people about managing their health. Nichola enjoys all aspects of General Practice including women’s health, antenatal care, child health, skin cancer management, and chronic disease management. Her happy place is the sparkling water at the beach!

Dr. Richard Stuckey

Dr Richard Stuckey graduated from Melbourne University in 1973. Richard then worked in a number of hospital positions at Geelong and Adelaide before settling into General Practice in Adelaide.
After relocation to the Gold Coast Richard started a solo GP Practice in Coolangatta in 1998 before joining a group practice in 2016 until 2021.

Special Medical Interests:

Treatment Myofascial Pain. Acupuncture, trigger point injections, prolotherapy.

Targeted, Evidence Based, Nutritional Treatment of Mental Health Disorders.

Family Situation: Wife, Jann, previous State Politician. 2 adult children living independently, 2 grand children

Recreation: Daily physical activity, no longer involved in competitive sports

Dr. May-Po (Mabel) Chung

Dr Mabel Chung completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland in 2007. After initially working in the UK, Mabel subsequently moved to Australia and worked in a number of hospitals throughout Queensland, in a variety of different specialties.

 

Dr Mabel enjoys the full spectrum of general practice, with a special interest in paediatrics, antenatal care, and skin cancer medicine. Mabel has completed a postgraduate Diploma in Child Health and Professional Certificate in Skin Cancer Surgery and also provides comprehensive contraceptive advice and offers Implanon removal/insertions.

Dr. Maggie Day

Dr Maggie Day is a recent fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Maggie obtained her MBBS from the University of Tasmania and did two years at Wollongong Hospital before completing her GP training in the New England region of NSW. Maggie then relocated with her young family and is enjoying living on the Gold Coast. Maggie enjoys all aspects of general practice particularly women’s health and paediatrics.

Dr. Kate Taylor

Dr Kate Taylor is originally from the UK, obtaining her MBChB in 1998 from the University of Sheffield. She met her husband in New Zealand and spent 14 years working there as a GP and exploring the amazing scenery. 10 years ago they moved to the Gold Coast with their young family and have embraced the lifestyle! She achieved her FRACGP in 2013. Kate enjoys all aspects of general practice, but she has a particular enthusiasm for women’s health. She enjoys travelling, skiing, hiking and spending time in her garden. Kate is married to Fraser, has 3 children and lives in Burleigh Heads.

Dr. Ray Warner
